The average wedding is not the most eco-friendly of events. A combination of copious flowers and decorations, food waste and single-use plastics, not to mention a dress that may only be worn once, can add up to quite a carbon footprint. But as the sustainability movement takes hold among the next generation of brides and grooms, the wasteful wedding could become a thing of the past.
