Netflix takes chunk of Pinewood studios for estimated £6m a year

Netflix is understood to have stuck a deal to lease a third of the space at the iconic Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, and could be spending as much as £6m a year on the new production facilities.

Sources suggested that it was a “done deal” that Netflix would take around 150,000 square feet of space at the site, following reports last year that the company was in talks with Pinewood.

Industry experts estimated Netflix could be paying around £40 per square foot for the studios, taking to total bill per year to £6m, although terms of the deal were not clear.
