The Coronation Street actress Doreen Keogh, who played the Rovers Return first barmaid Concepta Riley from 1960 until 1964, died December 31 at the age of 91.
The Irish actress also held recurring roles on series including Ballykissangel and Cold Feet and played neighbour Mary Carroll, mother to Jessica Hynes's Cheryl, on the long-running comedy The Royle Family. She also memorably feuded with Pauline McLynn's Mrs Doyle in an episode of Father Ted.
Keogh, who last acted in 2007, was said to have died "peacefully" at home in County Kilkenny.
